AUSTRALIA: Walkathon to benefit Keep a Child Alive held on June 27.

Last weekend I hosted an event in conjunction with Rotaract (a division of Rotary International) titled Wollongong Walking Aid to benefit KCA. Walking Aid was a 10 kilometre walkathon where people collected sponsorship for their participation in the walk. At present we have raised $3000 and this figure is still growing! I will post a blog detailing the event in the coming days. For now here is a newspaper article that appeared in the city newspaper following the event:

Its so great to see so many people involved, well done with the fundraising! I am actually studying at UNE because UOW does not offer the course I am doing (double major in archaeology and palaeoanthropology and minors in human bioscience and palaeontology). I'm hoping to do medicine at UOW when I'm done, and continue heading overseas with doctors without borders and/or involvement volunteers. Would love to get involved and raise some serious money with you! (hopefully the fact I'm not at UOW won't matter!). Perhaps an honourary member!!!

Hey Sarah!!!!!! Good to hear from you!
I hope you are able to find that book, and I hope you like it.
I am doing fine, struggling with school a lit bit this semester but overall it is good. I am trying to find some people at my campus interested in starting a KCA chapter with me, which is a bit of hustle!lol!
Oh are you and sarah (Weber) planning to go to South Africa?
