Keep a Child Alive believes, as history has proven, that student
movements will change the world. Just as they fought for civil
rights and the end of the Vietnam War, today students fight the
enormous injustice and destruction of the global AIDS pandemic.
The KCA College/HS Program is an action-oriented network of
students dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic on
campus, and fundraising for KCA. Starting with just four NYC-based
Chapters in late 2006, the KCA College/HS network has grown to more
than 300 Chapters, across all continents. These students have
observed the work of Keep a Child Alive, and now help provide
lifesaving medicines and surrounding care to our patients.
KCA Chapters use their unique knowledge, resources, organization,
and talents to save lives from this devastating disease. Chapters
have hosted fundraisers from Car Washes to Bake Sales to
Coffeehouse “Concerts for Change” to Fashion Shows, raising more
than $120,000 since 2006.
