Hey All: KCA has some AMAZING events coming up at WashU. Please, come check us out!

Monday, March 23 at 6pm in January 110, we are having a Town Hall meeting to discuss the HIV/AIDS pandemic and how we can enact substantive change! The panel will feature Dr. Bradley Stoner, a wonderful Ugandan woman named Janet with several members that have died/suffered from HIV/AIDS, and a woman living with HIV who has children with HIV. You will NOT want to miss it!

On Friday, April 3, 2009 at 8pm, we will have a Celebration of the Arts Event to fundraise for KCA. This will be the culmination of our Who Gives A Buck Challenge! In the Tisch Commons in the DUC, we will have live spoken word and dance performances. We will also be featuring Youth Expressions, an awesome peer-education youth theater group. Check them out at www.yelive.org. They were at last year's AIDS Summit, and the were all the way live! Email keepachildalive_washu@yahoo.com for more info!

Stay Classy, TJ

Hello KCA Community,
The Washington University in St. Louis chapter is constantly searching for different fund raising techniques. Our most recent endeavor is the DONOR LETTER initiative. We have targeted different family members, friends, community leaders, professors, and local professionals in our area. We drafted a letter that was sent out to the targeted group describing what KCA was about, our chapter goals, and how they could help us in this movement to save lives. It is a hassle-free and efficient way to bring money into the organization.

Remember our collective goal for each chapter to raise $10,000 to beat Alicia Keys, this will get you one step closer to the goal!!!!!!!

KEEP A CHILD ALIVE IS BACK IN ACTION!

As you may already know, Keep A Child Alive raises funds for ARV treatments for children living with AIDS in Africa and India. Keep A Child Alive started on the WASHU Campus the beginning of 2007-2008 academic year with Tiffany Johnson as our President, Marquisha Lawrence as our Vice President, Imani Amos as our Design Director, and Ahja Steele as our Public Relations Director.

We are now happy to have JAMELAH NEAL join our team as our Outreach Director.

So....in celebration of a 2nd year at WASHU and continued efforts in raising awareness we are having our KCA WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!

To help us in our goal for helping the children, we would like for you to COME OUT, SUPPORT, and PARTICIPATE in our week.
