great article Francesca!
I'll have to read up on this Goosby guy and see if he'd be a good choice or not- I have to say, Bush did do good things in terms of the AIDS movement. Clinton was great as well in the early stages of the pandemic- I think its at least uplifting and inspiring that no matter what party you are, we can all at least agree that this is a global problem we need to work together to end! (or maybe that's just my political naivete and there's a lot more going on there?) Either way I'm really interested to see how Obama handles the issue.

Hey guys!!!! Just wanted to drop by and see whats happening. I'm just getting the ball rolling on getting KCA up and running at UW Madison. I would LOVE you input on recruiting and whatever other BRIGHT ideas you might have thought of over winter break. have some issues with the fact that we're raising massive amounts of money as part of the club but we'll see what happens. havent heard anything back from any of the deans yet bc of the recess. ok write back to me!! i miss you guys!!!

Thanks Alex! I think it'll be a great event. To answer your question, a silent rave is when everyone just rocks out listening to their own ipods and mp3 players. so while you're jamming to justin timberlake, i could be groovin' to alicia keys, get it? :) Its a fitting metaphoric aspect to the evening since every 20 minutes or so we're going to take off our headphones and "break the silence" by dancing together (i have a DJ for the event, WOOTWOOT!).
